BS6 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
The BS6 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Diesel was recently tested in the country. Reports suggest that the carmaker may showcase the new BS6-compliant version of the MPV at the 2020 Auto Expo. The carmaker has already discontinued variants with the Fiat-sour 1.3L diesel engine of the Ertiga. The MPV comes with a BS6-compliant 1.5L VVT petrol and 1.5 DDiS 225 diesel engine with power of 103bhp and 94bhp respectively.
Maruti Suzuki Xl5
Indo-Japanese car manufacturers can also showcase the Maruti Suzuki XL5 Premium Hatchback which will be sold exclusively through Nexus dealerships. The XL5 will essentially be the premium version of WagonR with minor styling and feature upgrades. It can also be offered in the Nexa Blue paint scheme. No changes are likely to be made to its engine setup. Like the regular WaognR, the Maruti Suzuki XL5 can come with a 1.0L, 3-cylinder K10B and 1.2L, 4-cylinder K12M petrol engine with 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options.
New Maruti Suzuki Compact Suv
The all-new compact SUV may be the showstopper from the Indo-Japanese carmaker at the 2020 Auto Expo. It may be based on the global-specific new generation Vitara which is 4175 mm long, 1775 mm wide and 1610 mm long. The length of the Indo-Kalpana model is likely to be around 4.3 m. The new Maruti Suzuki compact SUV can be made available with two new BS6-ready engine options – 1.2L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel. In the company’s product lineup, it will sit atop the Vitara Brezza and face challenges from cars such as the Kia Celtos and Hyundai Creta.
Maruti Suzuki Wagonr Electric
Apart from unveiling the premium version of the WagonR, Maruti Suzuki may also unveil the electric iteration of its popular hatchback. The details of the vehicle have not been revealed yet. However, Maruti Suzuki WagonR Electric is likely to be offered with both AC charging and DC fast charging capabilities. Its battery can be charged in 7 hours via AC charger and up to 80% in one hour through fast charger.
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza 2020
Maruti Suzuki’s best-selling Vitara Brezza Subcompact SUV is set to receive its first mid-life update early next year. Car makers can preview the 2020 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza at the 2020 Auto Expo. The new version of the vehicle will come with improved styling and new comfort and safety features. However, the major update will be done under the skin. The SUV will feature a 103.5bhp, 1.5L, 4-cylinder K15B petrol SHVS petrol engine, which will be launched from the Ciaz sedan. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and an AMT unit.
